The stopwords
parameter accepts either an array of stopwords:
PUT /my_index { "settings": { "analysis": { "filter": { "my_stop": { "type": "stop", "stopwords": ["and", "is", "the"] } } } } }
or a predefined language-specific list:
PUT /my_index { "settings": { "analysis": { "filter": { "my_stop": { "type": "stop", "stopwords": "_english_" } } } } }
