Description

Reads line-oriented text data.

Decoding behavior: Only whole line events are emitted.
Encoding behavior: Each event is emitted with a trailing newline.

Compatibility with the Elastic Common Schema (ECS)

This only affects "plain" format logs since json is UTF-8 already.
