edit
  • Value type is boolean
  • Default value is true

codec

edit
  • Value type is codec

edit
  • Value type is number
  • Default value is 1

connection_timeout

edit
  • Value type is number
  • There is no default value for this setting.

durable

edit
  • Value type is boolean
  • Default value is false

exchange

edit
  • Value type is string
  • Default value is "zenoss.zenevents"

The name of the exchange to bind the queue. This is analogous to the rabbitmq output [config name](../outputs/rabbitmq)

exclusive

edit
  • Value type is boolean
  • Default value is false

heartbeat

edit
  • Value type is number
  • There is no default value for this setting.

The routing key to use. This is only valid for direct or fanout exchanges

  • Routing keys are ignored on topic exchanges.
  • Wildcards are not valid on direct exchanges.

passive

edit
  • Value type is boolean
  • Default value is false

password

  • Value type is boolean

tags

edit
  • Value type is array
  • There is no default value for this setting.

Add any number of arbitrary tags to your event.

This can help with processing later.

threads

edit
  • Value type is number
  • Default value is 1

type

edit
  • Value type is string
  • There is no default value for this setting.

Add a type field to all events handled by this input.

Types are used mainly for filter activation.

The type is stored as part of the event itself, so you can also use the type to search for it in Kibana.

If you try to set a type on an event that already has one (for example when you send an event from a shipper to an indexer) then a new input will not override the existing type. A type set at the shipper stays with that event for its life even when sent to another Logstash server.

user

edit
  • Value type is string
  • Default value is "zenoss"

Your rabbitmq username

verify_ssl

edit
  • Value type is boolean
  • Default value is false

vhost

edit
  • Value type is string
  • Default value is "/zenoss"

The vhost to use. If you don’t know what this is, leave the default.
